Objectives
From its creation back in 1958, the history of the Círculo de Economía has been defined around a group of persons that have always shared similar sensibilities and concerns about those aspects that are particularly transcendental for our economy and society.
It is in this process of consolidation of the Círculo de Economía as an institution that comprises and channels these concerns that the CÍRCULO DE ECONOMÍA FOUNDATION is born.
The Foundation was created the 16th of July 1986, making possible a long-cherished desire of the Círculo that started to become obvious by the end of the 60’s. The Foundation was created in order to complement the tasks of the Círculo, by going deeper into all the cultural, social, economic and political matters of general interest.
Thus, the Foundation and the Círculo are closely linked, sharing concerns and complementing each other with regards to mechanisms and tools for particular actuation and analysis.
The composition of the Board of Trustees, of the members of the Council of Collaborators of Honour and the composition of the Council of Collaborators, as well as the lines of actuations that define the CÍRCULO DE ECONOMÍA FOUNDATION confirm these bonds, which make it possible to get greater benefits from the capacities of both institutions.
